Browsing books to suit different moods, tastes or passing interests is part of the fun on paperflips.com, a new website designed to help users “find their new favorite reads faster.”
Founder Doris Carrion, a self-described book lover and nomad, finds respite in reading while working on the edge of war zones and in chaotic environments around the world.
Clicking through online reviews to determine her next great read came to feel like a chore so she set up Paperflips, where readers can find suggestions based on TV pairings, protagonist profiles and other categories, from “Historical fiction with a strong female lead” and “Literary journeys through time and space” to “Interesting life stories you can talk about at parties.”
The latest list is “Fantasy Novels set in the Middle East.”
