WASHINGTON: Saudi Arabia's deputy defense minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington on Monday.
During the meeting, the prince and Pompeo discussed recent events in the Middle East and ways to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Prince Khalid also met US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and discussed "mutual challenges faced by our countries", tweeting on Tuesday: "Met with @EsperDoD to discuss mutual challenges faced by our countries, and emphasize the importance of our ongoing military cooperation, which serves regional and international security."
