DUBAI: The UAE government has helped in the repatriation of hundreds of Germans back to their country from Ras Al-Khaimah Airport, state news agency WAM reported.
A total of 329 of tourists - mostly German and a Romanian, Croatian, Kosovan, two Turks and three Polish – departed on two flights on March 28.
Passengers were screened for COVID-19 before they departed.
UAE authorities also granted Flydubai and UK embassy the permission to repatriate 32 British nationals.
“32 Brits left the UAE on FlyDubai this am,” the embassy said in a tweet. “The airports are closed but some airlines are being granted permission for departures. Do not head to the airport without a flight booked. We are working with the UAE Government and airlines to progress all options to get you home,” the tweet added.
