ISLAMABAD: Pakistan opened all border crossings with Afghanistan in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to pedestrians four days a week, locals reported.
Prime minister Imran Khan’s special representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq said on Monday night that all border terminals located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Torkham, would be opened for pedestrian traffic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“Will fully revert to pre-Corona schedule shortly,” he said, referring to the novel coronavirus pandemic due to which Pakistan shut down its borders and suspended domestic and international flights in March.

In July this year all main border crossings — at Chaman in Balochistan, and Torkham, Ghulam Khan, Angoor Adda and Kharlachi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — were reopened. Afghan overland exports to India through Pakistan's Wagah border were also allowed to resume on July 15.
