Award-winning journalist Hoda Kotb is a broadcast journalist, television personality, and author who is currently the host of the NBC News morning show “Today” and co-host of NBC’s fourth hour, an entertainment-based show.

Kotb began working for NBC News in 1998 as a correspondent for Dateline NBC. During her tenure at NBC, Kotb hosted and co-hosted various programs which boasted her success and popularity.

In 2018, she was appointed as a co-host for NBC’s “Today” with Savannah Guthrie and the two became NBC’s first female anchor duo to lead the show.

Alongside her career in TV, Kotb has authored six books since 2010, including two children’s books. Her first book, a New York Times bestselling autobiography, is titled: “Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee.”

Kotb’s personal experience with breast cancer drove her to become a strong advocate for breast cancer awareness through her books and TV career, allowing “Today” to document her cancer battle.

In 2021, Kotb launched a new podcast called “Making Space with Hoda Kotb,” which premiered in September. The eight-episode series features personal stories from inspirational guests which is aimed at encouraging people to “make space” to find happiness in life, even during difficult moments.
