Dettol is a brand of cleaning supplies, disinfectants and antiseptics that was first introduced for doctors when millions of mothers and babies were dying from sepsis following childbirth. Within just over two years, the incidence of neonatal sepsis had fallen by 50 percent.

As one of the most popular brands in Saudi Arabia, Dettol has always been a pioneer of health and hygiene in the Kingdom, and its prominence rose significantly during the pandemic.

In 2020, Dettol pledged $1 million to support frontline health workers in Saudi Arabia by collaborating with its Saudi distributor, Arabian Trading Supplies (ATS), and the Health Endowment Fund.

Similarly, Saudia announced a partnership with Dettol Arabia to help its airline passengers and cabin crew to have access to hygiene products throughout flights.

The partnership started by ensuring all passengers had access to Dettol disinfectant wipes, before expanding to other areas, including aircraft hygiene. Dettol also provided critical information about COVID-19 to passengers.
