RT Arabic, formerly known as Rusiya Al-Yaum (Russia Today), is a Russian state-owned, free-to-air television news channel broadcasting in Arabic and headquartered in Moscow. Launched in 2007, RT Arabic covers a wide variety of events worldwide from the point of view of the Russian government. Featuring interviews, debates and stories about life in Russia, RT Arabic has been widely criticized for its explicit connections with the Russian government.
