ISLAMABAD: Known as the "El Classico of Pakistan Super League" owing to the intense rivalry between the two cities, table-toppers Lahore Qalandars are playing against the Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
The Qalandars have already qualified for the top four, winning seven out of the nine matches they have played so far in the PSL. The eighth edition of the PSL has been a disappointing one for the Kings, who have been eliminated after losing seven matches and winning only two.
Kings skipper Imad Wasim won the toss and elected to bat first against Qalandars.
The Kings, already out of the tournament courtesy of poor performances this year, will go all out against their traditional rivals with nothing to lose. Qalandars, on the other hand, will look to keep up their momentum ahead of the PSL playoffs and defeat their rivals by a huge margin.
The last time the two sides faced each other in this year's PSL, Karachi defeated Lahore by 66 runs.
