JEDDAH, 12 September 2003 — It was the final battle cry of all the winner’s of the 1st ICBA Basketball Tournament with four strong teams emerging as champions in their respective Division: Umea Led Wood Horizon Champion Team (Open Rated Division), AL Hejaz Air & Sea Cargo Services, Champion Team (Inter Commercial Division), Jeddah Cable Champion (Inter Company Division A), Masat Al Sharq Champion (Inter Company Division B).
The large group of Overseas Filipino Workers in industrial area attended the ceremonies and was excited until the last award presented by both Umea President Raffy Campiao and Polo Officer Mike Ismail Ali of the Philippine Consulate.
Present during the awarding ceremonies were Abdullah Khaiyat, Ernie Roces, Jay Ar Roque from Al Zafer Wings Cargoes Services, Felix Jordan Peba President & Gen Mgr. Al Hejaz Cargoes and Boy Teves from Al Ghomri For Sports (who donated the thropies). Present also, were community leaders from Alyansa, Sec. Gen. Jebreel De Vera, Atoy Esguerra commissioner for govt. relations, Ceasar Lontok commissioner govt. for ways & means, Bert Nulod CMS International, Jag Malic from WRJ Cargoes, with noted coaches Monching Constantino and Teody Tiongco. Individual awardees of the tournament were the following Open Rated Division: Champion Team Umea Led Wood Horizon, First Runner Up Al Aoun Goody Company. Mythical Five Best Forward (Abril Mabarit & Leo Almoite), Best Center (John Gatchalian), Best Guard (Nap Solis & Omeng Sahagun), Best Coach Trox Olsen and Most Valuable Player (Barry Nader).
Inter Commercial Division: Champion Al Hejaz Air & Sea Cargo Services, 1st Runner Up Al Ghomri For Sports, 2nd Runner Up Amiantit, Mythical Five: Best Forward (Jun Tejada & Rudy Tabligan), Best Center (Jimmy Hernandez), Best Guard (Nap Solis & Allen Ng), Best Coach Lito Nocon, Most Valuable Player Buboy Rapada.
Inter Company Division A : Champion Jeddah Cable, 1st Runner Up Red Sea Palace Hotel, 2nd Runner Up Tropang Panis, 3rd Runner Up King Abdul Aziz Hospital Mythical Five: Best Forward (Ronaldo Cordoviz & Amir Dumot), Best Center (Ali Bandaying) Best Guard (Jhon Robert Tato & Celso Pavilando).
Best Coach Sonny Sancon, Most Valuable Player Ibrahim Rongavilla Inter Company Division B: Champion Masat Al Sharq, 1st Runner Up BRC Industries, 2nd Runner Up Al Ghomri For Sports, 3rd Runner Up Saudi Pipe System.
Mythical Five, Best Forward (Chris Lindayao & Alex Egos), Best Center Macdo (Buenaventura), Best Guard Ting Miranda & Cauan), Best Coach Omeng Sahagun Most Valuable Player Randy Commandante.
Two TV Set was awarded to the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER Barry Nader and Buboy Rapada courtesy of Food Specialities Ltd. and Saudi Speciality Chemical Company.
Two Video CD was awarded to MVP Ibrahim Rongavilla and Randy Commandante courtesy from Jag Malic WRJ Forwarders and Alyansa Group thru Jibreel De Vera.
