Husam Zomlot is a Palestinian diplomat, academic, and economist who has become one of the most influential voices advocating for the Palestinian cause on the international stage.

He has been serving as the head of the Palestinian Mission to the UK since 2018 and is a senior member and strategic adviser of Fatah, the primary Palestinian political movement.

He previously directed the party’s commission for foreign relations, playing a significant role in shaping Fatah’s diplomatic and international engagement strategies.

Before assuming his current post in the UK, Zomlot held key roles, including as head of the now-closed Palestine Liberation Organization mission to the US. During his time in America, he also served as the official spokesperson for the Palestinian delegation to the UN and subsequently took on the role of ambassador-at-large for the State of Palestine.

A post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University in the US, before entering the field of politics, he held several academic positions and worked as an economist with the Office of the UN Special Coordinator in Palestine.

In addition to his diplomatic and academic work, Zomlot is a co-founder of the Palestine Strategy Group, a think tank dedicated to policy decisions for the Palestinian national project.
