Saudi FM discusses regional crises with US Secretary of State Rubio

  • Prince Faisal arrived in Antalya to take part in a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on Friday

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone call on Friday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss the latest regional developments, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the conversation, the two officials reviewed efforts to ensure the continued flow of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the need to consolidate the ceasefire in Lebanon.

They also stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to ensure security and stability across the region.

Also on Friday, Prince Faisal arrived in Antalya to take part in a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

He is scheduled to attend a quadrilateral meeting with counterparts from Pakistan, Egypt and Turkiye, as well as a G8 ministerial meeting focused on the situation in Gaza Strip.
