RIYADH, 9 February 2007 — Suzuki Saudia, the sole distributor for the Japanese automaker Suzuki in the Kingdom, agreed to provide Gama Rent-A-Car with 100 new cars as part of the latter’s fleet expansion amid growing demand for car rentals across the country.
During the signing of the accord, Mohammed Hamed Mousa, Gama manager, said that “we are delighted to formalize this agreement with Suzuki Saudia as we wanted to expand our fleet of vehicles from a brand that is renowned for providing luxurious, high performance and reasonably priced vehicles.” He noted that the demand in the car rental industry is soaring at the moment, while referring to the booming construction industry and strong tourism growth in the Kingdom.
He said “the prospects for business luring visitors to the country in large numbers are not ever seen before.” “This year alone, we have witnessed a 70 percent increase in sales and as a result, we intend to purchase up to 300 more vehicles from Suzuki Saudia to supply our increasing customer base,” Mousa added.
Suzuki has also recently launched an expansion plan that involves a full scale distribution network in major cities of the Kingdom.
“With further plans to open a new showroom in AlKhobar within the next few months, Suzuki is all set to emerge as one of the largest automotive providers in the region,” said Mousa, adding that Suzuki Saudia supplies passenger, 4X4 and commercial vehicles to individuals, families and companies.
Ahmad Shamaile, Suzuki sales manager, said “this is a great opportunity to strengthen our business relationship with one of our highly esteemed clients by providing our vehicles to service the growing rental market in the region.”
Highlighting the new features of Suzuki cars, he said “Suzuki’s vehicles combine luxury, elegant design, high performance and competitive prices to satisfy the needs of all consumers and we are confident that Gama’s clients will be happy with the quality of their rental vehicles.”
Suzuki has an extensive network of showrooms located in Jeddah, Tabuk, Madinah, Qassim, Makkah, Riyadh, Jubail, Dammam, Hofuf, Taif, Khamis Mushayt, Jizan, Aseer and Yanbu.
