YANBU, 14 June 2007 — Prince Saud ibn Abdullah ibn Thunayyan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, on Tuesday signed two contracts valued at SR191.25 million with Al-Bawani Co. Ltd. to construct the first phase of a women’s college in the Yanbu Industrial City. The contracts include the construction of college buildings with classrooms and setting up laboratories, libraries and clubs besides other utilities. The college is part of the special educational programs undertaken by the commission, which opened a men’s college in Yanbu two years ago. Both colleges are offering university level courses and are gearing up to offer fellowships. The colleges also aim at training, research and social service.
