RIYADH, 4 February 2008 — Starting 20 years back with its draft check service to serve the Sri Lankan community in Saudi Arabia, Tahweel Al-Rajhi has established a track record of offering “more services and more convenience to its Sri Lankan clients.” Today, Tahweel Al-Rajhi services to Sri Lanka include draft checks, express remittance and the “cash online” vital service which is cash transfer within two hours. Moreover, Tahweel Al-Rajhi has relations with major banks in Sri Lanka that include Bank of Ceylon, Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd., Peoples Bank and Sampath Bank.

Starting in 1992 with one office, today Tahweel Al-Rajhi has over 100 centers Kingdomwide. Abdulaziz Al-Sedeas, head of Tahweel Al-Rajhi, said: “Due to the rising demand of Tahweel Al-Rajhi services, Al-Rajhi Bank will be opening more centers all over the Kingdom this year. For our Sri Lankan customers, the bank has several convenient services such as Cash On Line.”

Al-Sedeas added: “Tahweel Al-Rajhi services have many privileges. They are accurate, secure, fast and with competitive transfer rates. It is a one-time registration process by which customers can add beneficiaries. The transfer can be done through Tahweel Al-Rajhi centers all over Saudi Arabia, open 7 days a week, and through ATM and Internet 24 hours a day for those with an account with Al-Rajhi Bank.

Al-Rajhi Bank is one of the first banks in Saudi Arabia to provide remittance services through a wide network of corresponding banks worldwide. The bank succeeded in updating its services and leveling with new techniques used in this domain by adapting the newest methods.
