JEDDAH — The Pakistan Consulate General has said that the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistani (NICOP) is a compulsory requirement for issuance, change or renewal of machine readable passport. It will not entertain any application without the NICOP card, the consulate said.

The applicants who have already obtained computerized national identity card (CNIC) are also required to obtain NICOP, making them eligible for all types of consular services.

The consulate has also rescheduled the NADRA Section’s working hours from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to enable the applicants get their passports.
