However, a two-day strike by London Underground maintenance staff will go ahead as planned on Wednesday, the RMT said.
The DLR carries commuters to and from the Canary Wharf financial district in the east of the city. It is operated by Serco Group Plc
"The Docklands Light Railway service will run as normal tomorrow. Talks with our union representatives and employees have resulted in a suspension of this dispute," said David Godley, Managing Director of Serco Docklands.
"We are pleased that this has been achieved with minimal disruption for our passengers and will seek to maintain this through ongoing dialogue," he added in a statement.
The RMT union said its members employed by Tube Lines on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly underground lines in London will walk out for 48 hours from 1800 GMT on Wednesday.
A further 48-hour stoppage is planned for next month if a dispute over jobs, pay and conditions is not resolved.
Previous strikes by maintenance workers on the underground have caused little disruption to services.
