The syndicate said in a press statement that it prepared two rooms in Ramallah and Gaza Strip to hold the meeting but the Hamas forces barred the Gaza-based journalists from participating.
It added that the president of the International Federation of Journalists, Jim Boumelha, and his accompanying delegation were scheduled to take part in the meeting.
According to the syndicate, the meeting was organized after the "Israeli security forces stopped Boumelha and his delegation from entering the Gaza Strip to hold the meeting there."
The syndicate said that the meeting was "aimed at discussing the problems and concerns of Palestinian journalists."
Abdulnasser Al-Najjar, the head of Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, called on Hamas government "to spare the syndicate from the consequences of the internal split and to spare journalists from threats, harassment and physical attacks while they are covering the political conflict.
