Bombardier, the world’s third biggest civil aircraft maker and the No. 1 train maker, reported net profit of $220 million, or 12 cents a share, in the first quarter of its 2012 financial year.
That compares with a profit of $195 million, or 11 cents a share a year ago in the same three months ending April 30.
Revenue rose to $4.66 billion from $4.26 billion last year.
