An embassy statement says the goal is to create jobs and encourage economic growth in Jordan, which is heavily dependent on US aid to keep its shaky economy afloat.

It calls for up to $250 million in guarantees.
The deal was signed on the sidelines of Davos-based World Economic Forum, which concluded two days of discussions at a resort on the shores of the Dead Sea on job creation and economic growth in the Arab world.
