DUBAI: Dubai Police released dramatic footage of a rescue mission undertaken on Tuesday night during which they rescued three men from a burning ship off the city’s coast.
The 59-second video, which was posted on the police force’s official Twitter account, shows the moment a helicopter team from Dubai Police’s General Department of Rescue and Transport rescued sailors from a large burning vessel.
According to Dubai Police, one of the sailors suffered a heart attack during the incident and was flown to the government-run Rashid Hospital.
According to Gulf News, in 2016, Dubai Police executed 26,237 land rescue and 290 sea rescue missions.
