The Indian Embassy in Riyadh will hold an "Open House" for the members of the Indian community residing in the Kingdom on Thursday. During the open house, Indian workers will have the opportunity to meet Hamid Ali Rao, Indian ambassador, and other senior officers of the embassy, to discuss and seek solutions to their consular problems, labor-related issues or any other grievances.
"All interested members of the community are invited to attend the open house at the embassy premises" said Surinder Bhagat, a spokesman of the Indian embassy, here yesterday. "For those whose applications related to passport renewal, attestation or any other application are pending at the embassy, they can come to the embassy and they will be directly informed about the status," said Bhagat.
Their problems will be directed to the concerned officials present at their office to solve the issue or guide on the spot itself, said Bhagat.
He pointed out that embassy officials, including the ambassador, will welcome the Indian workers from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday.
Those who need to sort out their issues with their sponsors or those with cases pending with local Saudi authorities will also be guided by senior embassy officials.
The open house is an initiative of Ambassador Rao. It may be recalled that the Indian Embassy had earlier held an open house on Feb. 2.
